What a long short work week!

I bought this new Bacardi silver....."Mojito" don't know if I like it or not. It has a mint sweet taste......I guess I had forgotten what a "Mojito" tasted like and maybe I should of eaten something first.....I will be ready for bed after I drink one :) and this way I know not to order more than one; so I could drive home.

I hate working short holiday weeks......to much to do in four days! We admitted Larry Richards today; it was so sad....he cried and his wife cried...so you know me I cried. He is too young to be there! Nothing new with me....have a great night.

This is like heaven!

I am sitting on my deck eating a salad and typing on the computer! I am love'n this pergola! I had 5 ton of dirt delivered today.....that I need to move into the new raised flower garden! I wished you guys were here.....I could use the help. Rain is in the forecast for the next 4 days; so I need to get it done tonight. Wish me luck! If I would have time I would of taken a picture before and then after...I think you would be proud of how hard I worked! LOL
Otherwise not much new just keeping busy......I have been leaving work by 5:00-5:30 so life is better....but going in @ 7:00 AM....and that works for me. I will check in later...hugs and love ya lots....mom

I just heard that they are having Bus Tours in New York City for all of the "Sex and The City Fans" I want to go; it looked so much fun on TV....but you know I love New York City so much!

Made National News

Iowa and it's storms made the National News .....CBS morning show 7 people died; how sad! And a little kid 2 died in Minneapolis (Hugo suburb) This morning it is beautiful out! I walked Max this morning.....the lazy dog didn't want to get up @ 8:00 AM. Laurie you and your closet organization has given me incentive to clean out clothes that I haven't worn in the last year....or last 5 years! I think I am going to have a dumpster full!

Tornado Warning!

I knew that the weather was strange....but when the sirens went off even Max knew it was not good! He let me pick him up and take him to the basement. He sat on my lap and didn't whimper a sound! Several counties in the warning.....one tornado touched down in Parkersburg...hitting houses south part of town! We are getting heavy rain now and penny size hail! The sky is now getting lighter; it was dark as early evening......Max is not leaving my side; I do believe dogs sense danger. It was so strange to hear from the news go to the basement now! Cover up with blankets and coats......protect yourselves! I had never heard that before.

Otherwise it was a quiet day today.....I guess I shouldn't of said; "We haven't had any rain to see if the dirt I removed worked or not!"

The sirens are going off again......but it looks quiet out now.....the sky is bright......but oh so humid! They are telling us the rain is wrapping around so the tornado you can't track it will just be there! Hail the size of soft balls by Finchford-Janesville.....so it was all around us.

Bargain Stroller

What do you think of this $20.00 bargain.....it was an employee's daughter's rummage sale and I went to it early....she was a little stress because it had been in her garage and was dirty so she lowered the price to $20.00....so I can use some elbow grease and Tide and it will look like new!

Steak Night

Oh my goodness.....my feet are aching! We served over 120 people tonight....on my feet since 4:00 sat down at 8:00 to eat! The residents loved it; but it is alot of hard work! I just took Max for a walk around the block and now I am heading to bed! Going to rub my feet with peppermint cream.....and hope it helps! State is at 11th Street so everyone is a little bit stressed!

Back to Curves!

I am so happy that I made it back to Curves......it has been since February.....3 months.....too long! I feel so great after I have gone! I need to take time and just do it! I left work today @ 5:00.....and I think that is the best thing for me.....I have just worked myself into a physical and mental mess! The other thing that keeps me going is you guys in IOWA! I am looking so much for that weekend!

Planter Box

Lawrence didn't have time to finish the Planter Box....my plans are to move those "Perennials" to the box and then replant grass.....also plant grass in the front of the box.....I am hoping this helps with the water problem..... :)

New stuff in living room!

This is on the wall when you walk in the front door....I think it turned out really nice....the color is called "Stone" doesn't jump out at you but looks really cool! Let me know what you think......

Pergola Love it!

What do you think of this .....it is awesome! I love it.....the heat will be more tolerable this summer.....you can see that the sun is cut off...and now I have shade! :) I can't wait until we are all setting out there sipping a cold one......

Ben Driving!

Denise called me this morning to tell me - Warn Me! That Ben passed his driving test and has his permit! Dennis took him out driving this morning....now Blake and Brett are thinking maybe they should get theirs. She wasn't looking forward to the day that the "little boys" would be driving.

Jake has his first year completed with NIACC and taking a summer class. Otherwise that is all new with her.

Danny and Mary were talking about getting married....can you believe that!

Ross didn't come today; he was with his girl friend. I guess she is really nice and she teachers kindergartner....Alex quit Best Buy and is now working at Hy-Vee....I didn't get a TV darn it!

Elliott and I talked polictics....I guess I should say I listened! LOL Elliott band is openning for some big Irish Band....I guess it is a big deal!

Crystal brought the food-BBQ Pork, beans and corn muffins! Barb brought Angel Food Cake and Raspberries.....Me I brought wine coolers......Grandma had BBQ chips ....very good meal!
