New Roof...

Took the chimney out of the garage.... bushes trimmed short for the siding crew~
I am sitting out on the pergola right now...the bushes really got trimmed~but it is still so nice out here...today was the best!
You can see the different levels... I think I am going to like it.
They even painted the pipes brown....I guess it is fine! They really clean up after themselves I didn't find any nails or pieces in the yard or deck!

New roof in 4 hours.....

I couldn't believe that so many men working on my house...they were moving so fast I couldn't count them. They started at 7:00 AM and were done with the new shingles (a Dark brown) on the house and garage by noon. The supervisor told me they had 3 houses to do today! My house was the only two story...


They tied ropes to not fall from the roof...and move like a squirrel on the roof tearing off the shingles so fast and the men on the groud would have them picked up as soon as they hit the ground!

They didn't speak English and I wished I knew what they were saying...talking nonstop and laughing...I thought they were laughing on how bad my house looks and that It needs siding also!
I would smile and say Hi and Max would wag his tail and they would nod and say yes Ma'am! and then laugh and say "We Love Hail!"

So a crew of one supervisor and 12 men completed the job in record time!

Surprise for Ella!

Ella will have her own little chair to sit in under the "pergola"...I found this at a garage sale and wanted to paint it "Pink" but didn't find the right paint for plastic! Will post a kodak moment later....Ella is her chair!

Decisions....

These are the colors of the siding I can choose from... I was leaning toward "Natural Clay" my plans are to drive around today and look at houses. I had thought I would like....Wicker-Sand-Lt Maple...but after I saw it on a house...didn't like it! So....today is a beautiful day to go for a drive...Max will love it!
The windows will be white vinyl....and I need to pick a trim color.....so let me know what your vote would be! Now I need to pick out new Shingles for the roof! This is hard!

Update: I have made the decision of Natural Clay and white trim (because the windows are white)! The reason is that Natural Clay really looks like sand/wicker/tan ....it is crazy! But you really need to see it on a house to see the difference. Meeting Thursday night to finish details.....
Did order the shingles today....30 year Architect brown...so they look layered. I think I will like them. Oh I hate making big decisions....spending large amouts of money makes me not sleep!

The Big Cupcake!

It actually looks better at a distance! But for the first one not too bad! I will practice...the recipe makes I think a pound cake! I would like to try another recipe! Maybe next week! I will post the next one and you decide if I am getting better....

Was going to treat a friend for her birthday!

I am glad this was just a trial run and I can go to HyVee in the morning! Next time I think I will try "PAM" with flour. I read that later in a review...it works the best! I am still working on the BIG cupcake....so check back later!

Friday wasn't a good day! Monday wasn't any better! Today I wished I would of stayed home! It would of been better than the day I put in.
I am so far behind....and can't work anymore hours....

I will be lost...

I don't know what to do...yesterday on the way home from Rochester...my Garmin just quit...it blinked on and off three times and was dead.
Is it my charger with a problem or is it the unit it self is dead? I haven't had it one year but I am sure the warranty is only 90 days.....I use this little guy all of the time...I don't' know what I am going to do with out it....maybe I should have Best Buy look at it next weekend or else face the facts and except it died!

Roses...my Mom's favorite

Today is Mom's birthday...I miss her....
I think of her often...alot of times is when I see roses...

Max on the 4th of July...

Max isn't really a lap dog...most of the time...but this afternoon with the neighbors and their "fireworks" he is so nervous...
He has to be touching me... (Notice the paw on my leg) it makes me laugh but he has been hiding under the coffee table or on my lap!The sad thing is the big ones are in the dark and he just shakes!

Today was a "Me" Day!

I had a surprise and didn't work today....(didn't realize the 4th was a Saturday) Crazy...I didn't think about that - so my holiday was today!.... so I did things for me!
I went to Stitches... and did a "make and take" "Flag" it is really cute and looks great on the front door! Holly has such great ideas and fun things to make.I also went to get a pedicure in Mason City and they have the best massage chairs....so I was treated twice....and Tonya thought I needed some "Bling Bling" today...
