I had a great Monday!

I had a great Monday! A family member heard me talking about knitting the baby a blanket and asked me if I was having a baby! Of course all the staff around me were laughing. Natalie asked her how old she thought I was! She thought I was in my late 30's....how sweet was that! Thought you would get a laugh out of that one....
Later Grandma Eunie came in with this awesome Brighton watch....it was on sale at the resort she was at. I guess she bought something for everyone....Barb, Crystal and Mary each got a gift from her. I was really surprised! She thought of me and gave me this awesome watch and I love it...can you see the cute little heart.

I think I can do that!

I watched the third season group of Design Star; I don't think this group is as good as the shows before. The one guy was such a cry-baby! Michael I think he is going to have a breakdown for having his show canceled. Oh my!

I think that I could do the stuff they did tonight....many of the rooms were just normal.

Hopefully Army Wives is better.

CAR Show today!

I missed the big CAR Show today..... I was washing the deck and ran out of cleaner. I completely missed the CAR show...darn it! I didn't really see lots of cars so maybe the turn out wasn't what they had wanted. The weather was so nice I loved being outside today, the deck still isn't the best but looks so much better than it did! I think I need to rent a pressure washer...will check into the that!

Saturday Night Live

Tonight they aired the very first Saturday Night Live......the first host was George Carlin. KWWL wouldn't air it the first time it was on because of the content. It was funny to see all of the stars so young. You forget who the first cast was. Earlier today I watched 100 of the funniest moments on SNL.....I had a good laugh....Steve does do a good impersonation of The Church Lady!

New Lamp

I just put together my new lamp and Max was as so nice and pulled out Blueberries blanket and brought it to me.....

Alyssa here. I am all packed up and ready to go! I went to bed around 2:00AM and woke up perky as ever at 7:00AM. I am heading to my new place as soon as I log off. I can't wait!!! GOD IS GOOD PEOPLE!!!!

Look'en good!

My car looks as good as this; just like when it was new. I just spend 2 hours cleaning the seats, windows and floor. The leather cream seats weren't very pretty with the wet spring and Max's muddy feet!

Looks good now; but I am sure it will rain!

Sad news!

Joe and Alyssa....sad news "No more D.Q. Chicken. The new owner thinks he needs to downsize the menu... I heard that the chicken and Taco Salads are officially off the menu! I am afraid the Pizza Ranch will have to do...and that is lousy!

New roommate!

I think I have a housemate! Dale and I heard this noise last night and DeNeitt confirmed she heard it also......and I am sure it is a squirrel....and I have no idea of what to do with that....is was above the downstairs bathroom. Darn it all!

Rain another 5 inches!

This is the lake in my back yard; but the whole town is flooded...I have water soaked carpet in the basement.....so I am heading to the basement to set up fans....wish me luck! I am afraid that all this rain will cause no rain the rest of the summer and we will have heat drought! What crazy weather.......is this heaven no its "IOWA"!

Knitting every spare minute!

I am so hoping that I get "Little Blueberry's" blanket done....It may not be done.....but I am so close.......

The Dirt pile is now a mud mess!

I don't know if you can see how much dirt that I had to move or not....but after all of this rain we have had it is a mud mess! But the rain has really pounded the dirt down and now I don't have to move it.....I have Mark and Sally both coming to get a few pails ....but it rains so much they can't come to get it. As you can see; I still have water problem but not as bad....the

Max and I have been to the farm!

Terry is up in Canada fishing.....today was his birthday.....Holly bought him these metal animals...a moose and a deer. Max ran over to them and then pooped between them....I do think that they will look awesome in the woods...but they weigh almost 200#'s.....so I don't know how they are going to move them. Max had such a great time out there this afternoon...I was only there for about 2 hours and he ran the whole time....he is sound asleep and not moving right now....we are getting bad storms again! I am thinking it is going to be a long scary summer with the weather.

New venture.....

This is a photo of the finished product and what it is supposed to look like; so if the one I make is close to looking like this I will be so happy!

I really think I can do it.....I have almost 1/2 of the 2x2 squares cut....But I want to have it completed to give to Crystal as a thank you gift.....I think you both will love it and each want one! I know I do! I think I am going to start giving only home-made gifts....what do you think of me doing that?

(Oh this is a 24 inch square table runner and I am making matching napkins)

Pergola Update!

I took the trellis that was hiding the electric meter and hung it in the space where we had to take out the bush! I think it looks cool because it just fills the space.....I don't like the new trellis but it was cheap and will work for this year....still haven't bought any flowers.....

Sunshine Sunday

Yes; the sun is shining and temperature is going to be in the 80's; so why am I going to work in the basement.....because it needs it. We have had so much rain that I have water that has ran down the walls.....so get out the fans! Also laundry is piled high about 6 baskets.....if I hurray and get busy I can enjoy my new deck for later this afternoon....and get the whiskey barrels planted....wish me luck!
