Merry Christmas....to my family!

I know that it is only Christmas Eve....but I want to wish everyone Merry Christmas today....tomorrow will be crazy and busy!  It is hard when everyone lives so far away.  But I think of Christmas and know it is in our hearts that we are togehter and we are all thankful for the times we have been together on this day...but we can also celebrate together on another day and it will be just as special. 
I really don't feel like Christmas until I go to the Christmas Eve service at St. John's....I have so many memories of all the services we have been to over the years.  Lighting the candles and singing  "Silent Night"  makes it officially Christmas.....so tonight girls I will be thinking of you during that song and missing you lots.....and in a few days and we will be together....love ya so much!

Lifetime Movies....

I don't know why I watch "Lifetime Movies" during Christmas time....I am sitting by myself crying...Max thinks I am crazy...he is sitting on my lap!  I should learn to watch Football instead....but I do believe that some people cry during football games also....... today had a couple of tear jerker games!

Crazy Saturday....

Painted assorted wine glasses (From Treasure Chest) and decorated with "jingle bells" for Sorority on Tuesday night.  I thought it would be fun to have wine glasses and let everyone take one home. They look great and I am finding myself looking through my house to make shining gold!

Oh.....I love the t-shirts that I made for Ella and her two best friends....there are unique because of these three .....there isn't two the same! and I am so proud of myself for getting them in the mail by 10:30 this morning! I do support the mail system....they let me down at times but I will keep sending packages. Another project ....I finished adding fabric to a panel for a friend to may a tied blanket and it looks awesome. I still have 4 projects to have completed by next Saturday.....I have confidence that I will make it!

Busy weekend.....

Today the temperature was in the 30's so Max wanted to stay outside in the snow....

I wrapped the trees to save them from the ice and snow for another winter...

I put red bows on the white tree on the deck after I found the metal "red wrapped packages" at HyVee for $3.00 for all 4 wrapped boxes.....kind of cute! Look so much better when the lights are on.....

Another Project.....

New yarn at "Stitches...." and I love it.  and the best part is...... it makes an awesome scarf in no time at all.  I just need another few hours in my day to get everything I want done ....done!

I wanted to share my new bracelet.....I had at first wanted more beads.....but the more I wear it....I love it just the way it is!  Reminds me of my "Little Cupcake" and makes me smile when I look at it.  The picture doesn't give it justice!  It is beautiful!

Pillow cases finally done....

Quilt and pillowcases....kind of bold....but I love it!  The dark pink small dresser and white end table...need to work on a head board!

I am still practicing....but they are looking  better!

Operation "Christmas Child" shoe box

I have packed my  box for a three year old girl....so of course I bought some of Ella's favorite things....
a four inch "Santa" Lollipop sucker!  My Little Pony....My Little Pony coloring book  with a box of crayons....Dora the Explorer-T-shirt, 4 underwear and socks!  4 bracelets/4 necklaces pkg.  2 tooth brushes and toothpaste.  Then I thought oh.... this "Silly String" would be so much fun so I thought  I would throw that in...well read the small print and that is a no- no.....so we will have some fun at Christmas....at the other Grandparents house with "Silly String"!  LOL

Yoga Class

Started Yoga class tonight....will let you know if I can walk in the morning.  It was great...but my body is old.  This is  not me....I really wish it was....maybe after a few more classes I will look like this....LOL

NCIS.....Double head marathon....

Today was a marathon of NCIS...of most of the 2 part shows...I love them;

is was so hard not to watch because these shows are the best of the best. 

I love each of the cast members I will watch re-runs for ever....

I had a very busy stressful day on Dale's birthday and didn't get him called.  I felt bad so I thought he deserved a posting.....Big Happy Birthday to you Dale!  I hope you had a great day!

New Adventure......

I was asked to sub in a bridge club last Thursday night.... I had a crash course for 1 1/2 hours before and found out that it is really fun!  Lots to remember and nobody got upset when I played the wrong card.  I think that we are going to practice every Thursday night!  Between counting and bidding my mind will have to keep thinking maybe I won't get Alzheimer's....

Enjoying hearing of the "Boot Camp Highlights"

We are all so proud of this amazing young man who is now a "Marine"  who will be on his way back to California....in 10 short days....to Camp Pendelton!
