Huisentruit 14th Anniversary

MASON CITY, IA -- Saturday (today) marks the 14th anniversary of KIMT morning anchor Jodi Huisentruit's disappearance. Local police say the case hasn't lost it's significance for the town.

Huisentruit worked as a morning anchor and producer at KIMT news 3 when she went missing on her way to work one summer morning.

I know you girls remember that day...I can't believe that it has been 14 years!
They are still get leads...I still think it is so sad!

Love my new bracelet...

I finally replaced the bracelet that was stolen last October. I have been looking for a silver beaded bracelet like the one that I lost. I hadn't had any luck in replacing it.
Until Laurie and I found this new Tiffany Bracelet for the right price. The one that I have has a "Tiffany Tag" but I am thinking of getting this "Heart Tag" (sometime) and wear them together! It is very small and elegant! I love it!

Best Buddies...

Sophie and Max are having a great time together. They are hilarious, they have to be together every minute...when I walk with them they walk side by side.
Sophie sits on my lap and Max sits by my feet! They both sleep on the bed one on each side. I was worried about them getting along...no problem!
Tonight we did a car ride and a visit to the Nursing Home...the residents loved them.
So I do think the week will fly by and then we will be missing Sophie!

Retlaw's Closing...

The rumor is Retlaw's will be closing on July 5th or even maybe before! I will really miss going there. (I guess I didn't go all of the time!) But it was a really fun place to meet and see people! Just think my birthday party may of been the last time we were all there!

Today I heard that possibly "The OP" from Clear Lake and Mason City will be buying them out....I hope so! They have an awesome business in all of their locations.

I couldn't go to bed without posting a couple photos...

I loved giving Ella her "Cupcake" quilt...that yes...if you can believe it...I made it myself. It was so sweet she picked it up and rubbed it on her cheek! I had the best time with her....I could of stayed another week!

Why you haven't heard from me!

I worked many hours getting ready for my little trip....cramming two weeks or work into one...
Flew to Salt Lake City for a couple of days...with Ella :) and Laurie!
Then a quit trip to Las Vegas for a few days...to a convention to listen to my son-in-law speak...then back to Salt Lake City for the weekend!
Reality back to work and I think I was missed!
I had the best time with my daughter, son-in-law and my beautiful little Grand-daughter...will post more photos later....but I need to go to bed and sleep! One thing that I didn't do while I was gone (sleep)...

Friday night grilling...

I have been using my grill the last couple of nights....so easy to flip a burger on it or some veggies! Last night I went to light it and to my surprise it was hot and ready to go....so...did my neighbor decide to use it? or did I some how forget to turn it off from the night before? My life is somewhat hectic and I get pretty busy but how do you forget to turn off the grill.
Yes; I did shake the gas tank and it was pretty heavy yet... wasn't empty so I am still wondering....
kids any ideas?
