I have the Best Friends

I was at a meeting all day and just got a call from Holly and Terry and invited me out to the Uptown for a steak! What would I do without them! Friends are the one big reason I don't move to another town....to old to pick up and find another job and find new friends!

Natioanl MS Society Bike Ride

I wished I was on TRAM this year. It starts on Sunday through next Friday....but then I watched the weather and I guess it would of been too hot and humid! Susan and her family are going again. I think some year the all of us should go....it is the best time ever! Lots of quiet time and beautiful country side and I mean country side! Lots of farms and lakes! People opening up their yards for water and snacks every 10 miles so the miles go by so fast! Did I forget to say the HILLS! Lots of them up and down...the down is so much fun and the up isn't so bad you get used to that!
Keep this in mind....someday we really should go! Joe would be one of the guys who would get in first or do the ride twice! I would love it!

(I didn't look to see if it had expired!) I opened all the windows and aired out the house....cleaned the living room and dining room carpet! Had a productive day; getting ready for another long week at work. Tuesday night is the resident picnic #2.....and Thursday night haircut with Sally! So my week is shot! Holly and Terry invited me to dinner and boat ride tonight but I am too tired! So next week maybe we can go! I dog sat for them again this weekend.....I love their dogs.....they listen to me! You guys have a great week; thinking of you lots....

Mamma Mia!

I have watched the trailer for this movie all night! It brought back memories of watching this in Denver @ the Denver Center for Performing Arts....it was so awesome. I am sure the movie won't be the same; but I think we should watch it together.....wouldn't it be fun to all fly in to watch it all together.....if I win the Lottery in the next week or so....clear your calendars OK!
What ever happened to the video-movie that was made on that trip! Hopefully it was taped over by something that was much better.....but it was fun wasn't it. Missing you guys....

Life is good!

THE SECRET LIVES OF SECOND WIVES-SATURDAY NIGHT LIFETIME MOVIE

"Lynn Hughes finds that marriage the second time around is far from idyllic when the ex wife and her children return to manipulate her husband Jack"

This movie was about the husband put his kids ahead of the 2nd wife; they moved in....he had to pay for $40,000 for his daughters wedding and the ex-wife shows up all of the time. Not quite my life but it makes you think....

Watched this movie tonight and that confirmed that I had made the right decision in next not pursuing this guy I meet today.....he was divorced, only heard about one son; his son that was not married and is having a second baby with another girl, has bad friends, in a rock band and the one thing that topped everything off was everyone in the family thought that farting was funny! Drinking beer and playing bean bags! Not my idea of a fun Saturday afternoon!

I love my life, love my daughters & son-in-law, excited about being a grandmother! Love my home, and of course my dog "Max".....and the weather today was awesome! Life is so good....

UPDATE: of course the Lifetime movie everything worked out....and everything was wonderful...but that's TV!

Weak Moment.....

After a week of working 57 hours! I volunteered to help Misty with her Mom's 50th birthday party and make a salad and your "favorite" Trifle! Why do I do these things? What I really want to do is shower and go to bed! But I guess I can sleep when I am dead!

Have a great weekend! I will check in later....maybe post a photo or two.....should be some interesting people at the party!

Missing Designstar!

Cable has been out since 6:00 PM and we are getting buckets of rain. All of my landscaping work will be washed away, it is down pouring....2 inches per hour. The rain isn't going to stop for awhile but at least now it is a gentle rain. Of course the garage is flooded again with rain water, I am going to give up and just use it as a garage for the car and no storage! So now I am busy doing laundry until the power goes out next and then just may go to bed!

Today was the day!

I had to give in and turn on the A/C this afternoon; the humidity was just too high! Not bad to wait until after the 4th of July for expensive utility bills! Max is very appreciative....he lays by the vent ....to nap! and only goes out unless he really needs too! We really do need some rain; it is in the forecast just hope it comes. I did go to the garden show this afternoon...some people have so much talent! They were just beautiful!

Max checking things out!

As you can see; I have to keep him on his leash because he has a bad habit of running through the neighborhood....so much for puppy school! But I guess that was 4 years ago and I didn't follow thru like I should have; and he is a little bit spoiled :)

Moved the Perennials!

I told you I would post pictures of my hard work the last few days! I am not completely done yet! But I will post these again when the flowers bloom. Do you love my little cat? I wished I would have volunteered to paint the neighbors garage....still may - but needed to have the plants moved so they could get a start on growing before fall....yes fall; will be here before you know it! Duane and Joann stopped over in their new "Corvette" it is pretty sharp! Joann was excited she got to drive it to my house....Duane was holding his breath the whole time! They told me that I shouldn't of worked the whole holiday....but I do think it was worth it! And it will look better when they start blooming...time will tell. Today I need to find a garden flag that is colorful....that will brighten it up a bit. Will post again at the end of summer and this should look awesome!

I don't know how to add a video but this is the link of the view of the fire works accident

New information released to the Globe Gazzette

I am adding an updated report from the Globe Gazette. This is more detailed, they still aren't released names. The TV crews and the investigators have left for the day...I may have to try to watch the 10:00 news. It still gives me goose bumps to talk about it.

Fireworks accident!

I just got a call from a friend that is downtown and she was down where the accident happened. One of the finale tipped over and was shot sideways. The have had 8 ambulances and one helicopter taking people away. The area was the parking lot by the court house (also where the concrete had given way from the flood! She was on the bridge when she saw it coming her way).....she said everyone was screaming and running to get away. You know she invited me to go with her; and thank you Alyssa for talking to me instead of me going to meet her. Yes I do believe in Guardian Angels and mine tonight told me to stay home; I would of been on the bridge! The radio was having people call in to give their account of what happened....telling that fire was shooting right by them and just missed their head....to telling of helping people that were hit in the chest, foot and head! People were knocked out of the lawn chair they were sitting in. Everyone at this time have been taken away to the hospital that needed attention....won't find anything out until probably Monday now.

The 4th of July

I would love to be in "New York City" for the 4th of July some year. This year our fireworks was nice, but they had the finale didn't go off like it was supposed to and shot into a crowd of bystanders and everyone was diving for cover. They are clearing the main street bridge for emergency vehicles. The radio station is giving updates. Very sad....have no idea how many people were hurt. Will keep you updated!

Poor Max...

Someone in the neighborhood is shooting off bottle-rockets and some kind of fireworks! Max is scared...he is shaking and hiding under my new table in the TV room. This has never bothered him before....he looks so sad! I need to pick up the house of Max's toys and shoes; because Dick is coming tomorrow night. The sad thing is all of the 4th of July stuff doesn't start until the 3rd.....but his plans are to be with his buddies. Thank goodness the beer tent doesn't open until 3:00 PM on Thursday. I did think of Joe; he would love the beer tent. You may have to come over the 4th just one year!

I am invited over to Terry & Holly's; Tom and Kim are here from San Francisco....we always have interesting conversations.
