Update on the Neighborhood Watch

The "Middle School" Neighborhood watch meeting last night....was very interesting! I actually learn something new about the neighborhood every meeting I get to. Last night one of the members volunteered to teach any woman that wanted to learn some self-defense!

Probably not a bad idea....

I just an not used to having "neighbors" stop over....tonight I got back in the house @ 9:45. Several neighbors stopped over to visit me! :)


They must think that I am a people person! or a lonely old lady with a dog! Several members are so proud of the badges that we have for ID and they wear them proud on the outside of their clothes....with a bright blue lanyard! I think I will wear mine under my shirt and blend into the un-noticed group!

Several of the group are going to purchase cameras...so I am thinking as I walk Max around the block...I need to not look stupid
1) put on Make-up
2) put on nice clothes
3) comb my hair
4) brush my teeth

Not do the 6:00 AM...
sweatshirt over PJ's...
pull hood up over hair...
sunglasses over no makeup!

Joann's new granddaughter

Isn't she adorable....such a sweet little baby girl! They stopped over last weekend. I have just been busy and didn't get it posted for you to see!

Saturday's Quilt Class....

This still needs a border and then quilted....I picked Red White and Blue because of the 4th of July! I thought it would look awesome on my table. Just need to talk to my friend and have it quilted for me! ( I think I am picking a blue for the border)

Garage Sale purchase...

Sab error on stove...

I noticed on my stove the clock wasn't on the correct time. So I pushed the clock button to reset and it didn't work....just the letters "S ab"! I had no idea what that was so I googled it (of course) and found out that...the stove was in the Sabbath Mode. This is a feature that allows you to disable certain features on the range in order to honor the sabbath!

Mine nothing worked.

Technology or did it just default from no use!
Maybe it wanted a sabbatical...

Where's there smoke!

My phone rings at 12:53 am.....Goldfinch hall is full of smoke and the fire department there and they need help evacuating residents. Midwest power had a problem with a transmitter; it was repaired incorrectly....caused a big power surge! So the nursing home suffered! Light ballast, O2 machines, fans etc. were burned up! Sparks flying....smoke everywhere....So the smell is terrible and Mark in maintenence was probably there all night. You know small town...so I heard from the firemen "Good morning" "So....this is what you look like in the morning"....."to do you want to wear my helment to hide your hair!" then see what happens when you wear a helment (He as bald!) This is what happens in a small town! Back home @ 3:00 am

Just another hump day! Not!

Just a flat tire....right! No I am not that lucky....spring broke....into the tire....wrecked the tire! So I now need (2) springs and (2) new tires! and hopefully only 2-3 hours of labor! So if my day isn't bad enough....I just had a bat fly over my head! ohhhhh....it gives me shivers! Poor Max ran to his crate and hid! Long story short...it is dead and in a bag....and triple wrapped! Ready for the dumpster at work in the morning....Tomorrow has to be better!
